Dr Katie Samuel

Anaesthetic Registrar, Bristol School of Anesthesia. Perioperative Medicine Fellow, University College London Hospitals.

Katie is an Anaesthetic Registrar based in the Severn Deanery, currently undertaking an advanced Fellowship and Masters in Perioperative medicine at UCLH. She holds a place on the Royal College of Anaesthetists Trainee Committee, Exams Committee and Lay committee, is upcoming editor for the RCoA ‘Gas’ publication, and is Chair of Severn Trainees Anaesthetic Research (STAR) group.

Her interests are in perioperative medicine, medical education and clinical research. She is Lead Educator for University College London's Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) ‘Perioperative Medicine in Action’ (RCoA and and World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists endorsed), and is also on the Perioperative Quality Improvement Project (PQIP) team.

Katie is Co-chair of Trainees with an Interest in Perioperative Medicine (TRIPOM), a partner of EBPOM
