David Edwards is the Division Chief of Pain Medicine at Vanderbilt University. He practices OR anesthesia as part of the Neuroanesthesia Division with an emphasis on functional neurosurgery and spine. He is a member of the acute and chronic pain services, and also practices outpatient pain medicine in the cancer clinic and interventional clinics at Vanderbilt. Dr. Edwards established Vanderbilt’s inpatient chronic pain service, cancer pain clinic, and transitional (perioperative) pain clinic. His research is focused on the perioperative care of the chronic pain patient.
