Gillian Foxall is a consultant anaesthetist in the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford.
She did her pre-clinical training at Cambridge University and clinical training at Sheffield University graduating in 1999. She did her specialist registrar training in Nottingham where as a post-fellowship registrar she completed a year of out-of-programme experience as a clinical fellow in regional anaesthesia and acute pain at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham. During this year she became proficient in ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia and completed research in this field.
She regularly teaches on ultrasound-guided regional anaesthesia courses including those for Sonsosite and B-Braun and yearly at the International Winter Symposium, Leuven, Belgium. She completed the ESRA diploma in 2008.
