Dr. Jennifer Holder-Murray, MD, FACS, FASCRS is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Vice Chair for Quality Integration within the Department of Surgery. She serves in several additional roles as co-director of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Program throughout all UPMC hospitals, co-director for the Center for Presurgical Care (a preoperative prehabilitation and optimization program for presurgical patients), and UPMC surgeon champion for the National Surgical Quality Improvement Project (NSQIP). Her clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease and rectal cancer with research interests in optimizing perioperative care, minimizing opioids, and studying the microbiome during the perioperative course.
