Dr Jonathan Ball is a full time consultant in intensive care. Since 2005, he has worked at St. George’s Hospital, which is the university teaching hospital for south west London. He works on both the general adult, and specialist neuro, ICUs.
His previous clinical experience includes a critical care trauma fellowship in Australia, an aeromedical fellowship in New Zealand and both wilderness and expedition medicine. In his current role, he has significant management, educational and research responsibilities. His academic and research interests are wide ranging and include cardiorespiratory pathophysiology, polytrauma and long-term ICU patients.
He is a grant reviewer for both the UK National Institute of Health Research and the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine. He is a regular peer reviewer for the journals: Critical Care Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine and Critical Care.
