Dr Justin Woods, Consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care, Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
I qualified in 1995 from London Hospital Medical College. Served as an officer in Royal Army Medical Corps and deployed to Bosnia and Northern Ireland. My Higher anaesthetic and critical care was training undertaken in the St George’s Rotation followed by a post CCT research post at St George’s working with Dr Mike Grounds, Dr Mark Hamilton, Dr Jonathon Ball and Dr Andy Rhodes. Following that I was a locum at Frimley Park Hospital and subsequently appointed there in 2010.
My main interests are Severe sepsis, Goal Directed Therapy and the care of emergency laparotomy patients in the intensive care. I am the departmental Lead for Enhanced Recovery, Audit, Risk, and at present am the principal investigator for EPOCH & NELA.
