Tracy Setji completed medical school and Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Arizona. She came to Duke University for Endocrinology Fellowship in 2003 and stayed on as faculty after completing fellowship.
She is currently the Medical Director for the Inpatient Endocrinology Consultation Services at Duke University Hospital and Duke Regional Hospital. In that role, she works with a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, nutritionists, and diabetes educators to optimize the care of inpatients with Endocrinology disorders, with diabetes being the most common condition treated.
Her primary research interests include investigating treatments and processes for improving glycemic control in the hospital to reduce diabetes-related complications. Prior research involved polycystic ovary syndrome and its associated metabolic issues.
