Laura is currently working as a Consultant Anaesthetist in The Royal London Hospital, a referral centre for Major Trauma and Stroke in the Whitechapel area of London. She has an interest in Trauma Anaesthesia and Critical Care and completed a Critical Care fellowship, also at the Royal London Hospital. 

She is currently completing a PhD in Neuromonitoring in Critical Care and is a member of the Neuromonitoring Steering Committee of the European Society of Paediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care. She is also a proponent of total intravenous anaesthesia and is involved in the VITAL trial, investigating volatile versus total intravenous anaesthesia for major non-cardiac surgery.
