Following postgraduate training in London, including at Great Ormond Street Hospital, Liam Brennan was appointed as a consultant anaesthetist with a mixed adult and specialist paediatric practice at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge in 1994.
Liam has a strong commitment to education and training, lecturing and publishing on a wide range of issues including: paediatric obesity, consent in children and maintaining clinical competency.
Elected to the Council of The Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2010 Liam chaired the training, examination and revalidation committees prior to serving as President between 2015 and 2018. He now combines clinical practice with the role of Deputy Medical Director in Cambridge.
