Esrom Leaman is a specialty trainee in anaesthetics at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Research Fellow at the Centre for Perioperative Health Economics & Policy.

Having also completed undergratuate studies in Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics, he is currently undertaking PhD studies through the Clinician PhD Pathway Program at the University of Adelaide and Central Adelaide Local Health Network.

His primary research interest is the health economics of perioperative medicine, with particular focus on predicting future healthcare needs, the development of economic models for novel perioperative pathway initiatives, and implementing artificial intelligence-based risk prediction to optimise hospital resource utilisation.
