Ross Freebairn is a Intensive Care Consultant at Hawke’s Bay Hospital, in Hastings, New Zealand, and currently President of the Asia Pacific Association Of Critical Care Medicine, and Past President College of Intensive Care Medicine. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Medical Director for NZ Air Ambulance Services. Professor Freebairn is the Associate Dean, ( Hawke’s Bay Campus ) University of Otago Medical School and a member of the BASIC steering group and, is involved in courses running in NZ, Australia. Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Pacific and Europe. Allegedly lives in Hawke’s Bay, married with three children and a dog that still recognises him.
