Dr Philip Hennis
Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology, Nottingham Trent University
Philip is a Senior Lecturer in Exercise Physiology at Nottingham Trent University. His main research interests are clinical exercise physiology; specifically how cardiopulmonary exercise testing can be used to diagnose disease, track changes in fitness/health, and risk stratify patients prior to surgery. He is also interested in the effect of hypoxia on exercise capacity and was part of Xtreme Everest 2 (2013) and Xtreme Alps (2010) studies and lead the Bedford Everest Study. Philip also has over 7 years of experience setting up and running cardiopulmonary exercise testing laboratories.
