Nandini Kandamany is a Paediatric Emergency Medicine consultant at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital in Dublin. Having previously worked in the UK’s Leicester Royal Infirmary and Nottingham’s major trauma centre, she has special interests in Paediatric Trauma and Quality Improvement.
She is currently undertaking a Masters programme in Healthcare Simulation and Patient Safety and is working with the Quality Improvement arm of the New Children’s Hospital Group to improve intra-departmental and patient communication.
She is actively involved in commissioning services for the ED in the new Children’s Hospital and has contributed to the development of joint Clinical Practice Guidelines for the emergency departments across Dublin’s 3 paediatric hospitals.
On her days off, she enjoys musical endeavours and being driven demented by her two under 3-year olds.
