Peter K. Lindenauer, MD, MSc, FACP, is Director of the Center for Quality of Care Research at Baystate Medical Center, Medical Director of Clinical Decision Support and Quality Informatics for Baystate Health, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Lindenauer’s research focuses on measuring the quality and outcomes of hospital care for patients with common medical conditions, and the design and evaluation of interventions to improve care delivery.
His work has been published in The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, Health Affairs, Medical Care, and leading general internal medicine and subspecialty journals. Dr Lindenauer is a graduate of the University of Chicago, the University of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine, and completed an internship, residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California San Francisco.
He received a Master of Science degree in Health Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics and Political Science and is the 2008 recipient of the excellence in research award from the Society of Hospital Medicine.
