Professor Daniel Martin OBE

Daniel is an intensive care physician with research interests that include human adaptation to hypoxia, microcirculatory blood flow, perioperative exercise testing and training, mitochondrial function and oxidative stress biology. He is member of the Xtreme Everest research team and has helped lead a number of research expeditions at high altitude. Daniel is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of the Intensive Care Society and holds a number of national positions promoting and supporting academic training for anaesthetists. Daniel is also the intensive care lead for high consequence infectious diseases at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
