Dr. Jochen Mayer is a consultant in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine at Klinikum Ludwigshafen, Germany, a teaching hospital of maximum medical care.

He is responsible for staff training and provides lectures in anaesthesiology at the University of Mannheim. His research interests focus on hemodynamic monitoring and perioperative patient optimization. Further projects include target-controlled anaesthesia and emergence behaviour in children.
