Greg McAnulty

Greg McAnulty was appointed to St George’s Hospital as a consultant in 1999. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1982 with MB BS and in 1989 with BA (Hons) in Old English and Language.

After working mainly in accident and emergency in Sydney he moved to the UK and trained in anaesthesia and intensive care from 1989. He now works in general adult intensive care, neuro intensive care and adult general and thoracic anaesthesia. He was lead consultant in cardiothoracic intensive care at St George’s from 1999 until 2005.

He was president of Médecins sans Frontières (UK) for six years from 2001 and spent a year as a consultant in intensive care and anaesthesia in Alice Springs Hospital, Northern Territory, Australia in 2007-8. He has an interest in simulation as a teaching tool and is medical lead for simulation and skills at St George’s.
