I have been a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust for 7 years and was previously a registrar in Bristol and Bath.
My main areas of interest are Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine in developing countries, Intensive Care Medicine, Thoracic Anaesthesia and Management of patients requiring emergency laparotomy.
I worked as Senior Lecturer at the College of Medicine and Head of Department at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi for 1 year in Malawi in 2004-5.
I am Editor-in-chief of the WFSA’s educational journal, Update in Anaesthesia, and Chairman of the World Anaesthesia Society, a specialist society of the AAGBI.
