Substantive Post: Consultant Anaesthetist Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust
Qualified from United Medical & Dental Schools of Guy’s & St Thomas’ in 2000. After House Officer Jobs in london and a brief stint in Emergency Medicine at King’s College London, he undertook 7 years of anaesthetic training on the South East Thames rotation.
Dr Pawa completed fellowships in Regional Anaesthesia at Guy’s & St Thomas’ & Liver transplant at King’s College london.
He has also completed the ESRA Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia.
His first Consultant post in February 2009 was at the Medway Maritime hospital where he specialised in orthopaedic and regional anaesthesia and surgical high dependancy care.
He then moved to Guy’s & St Thomas’, London in April 2010 where he is an integral part of the regional anaesthesia community there.
His main areas of clinical practice are:
Upper limb orthopaedic trauma
Plastic Hand trauma
Breast cancer surgey
Reconstructive breast surgery
Special Interests:
Regional Anaesthesia Education & Training – teaches on several national courses in addtion to Lsora
Ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia – most recently, ultrasound guided thoracic paravertebral blocks
