Rebecca Minehart is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University, the Vice Chair of Faculty Development at Brown University Health Anesthesiology, and the Division Chief of Obstetric Anesthesia at Brown University Health Anesthesiology/Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
After completing medical school and residency training at the University of Michigan, she completed an obstetric anesthesia fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and then became faculty at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital for nearly two decades.
She is a Board Member of the Society for Obstetric Anesthesiology and Perinatology and an Associate Editor for the Patient Safety Section of Anesthesia & Analgesia. Her work includes improving outcomes for teams through better communication and organization, especially during high-risk, acutely stressful situations.
