Matt Thompson is the Professor of Vascular Surgery at St George?s Vascular Institute and Clinical Director for Surgery at St George?s Hospital.
He trained in Leicester, where he was a consultant until 2002, and in Adelaide. He has clinical interests in the treatment of complex aortic and carotid disease. St George?s Vascular Institute is a large tertiary referral centre and the unit has one of the largest endovascular practices in the UK.
Professor Thompson has extensive research interests in both clinical and basic science investigations into aortic and carotid disease.
