David is a co-director of EBPOM.

As a practicing clinician in Critical Care and Perioperative Medicine at UCLH he developed the perioperative care pathway for high-risk surgery, led the development of a 12-beded surgical high-care and introduced a highly successful International Perioperative Medicine Fellowship.

He has an interest in the provision of high-risk surgical care and the perioperative workforce. As a professor in the Centre for Perioperative Medicine at UCL he developed and runs the UCL Masters Programme in Perioperative Medicine .

In his work as co-lead of the SAFER Academy an NIHR funded programme at UCL, David supports the professional development of our future academics.
