Advanced Haemodynamic Management Workshop

Delegates can expect to hear from world leading experts on the development of the latest technological advancements in hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostics. 

Innovation through artificial intelligence continues to develop in all walks of life, including medicine and hemodynamic management. You will hear from a mix of academic clinical leaders, scientists and anaesthetists, who are existing users of this technology.

Medtronic Workshop

The aim of this workshop is to educate delegates on optimizing care and avoiding
overmedication by quantifying a patient’s physiological pain response (nociception)
during general anaesthesia. This enables the clinical team to provide personalised
analgesia to each patient.

CPET Workshops

Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing To Direct Prehabilitation
 
In this workshop we will review how cardiopulmonary exercise testing can be used to objectively evaluate aerobic exercise capacity, identify modifiable pathology and evaluate risk.  
 
We will then cover the principles of exercise prescription, focusing on the FITT (frequency, intensity, type, time, volume and progression) principles and how CPET can be used to prescribe an individualised exercise programme for patients before surgery as part of a prehabilitation service.
